It’s Friday, High Five! No. 89

Photo Via Place Of My Taste

This week is spring break but I have no big travel plans. My son is going to the beach with some friends for the week and my husband is running some crazy Last-Mile ultra-marathon, on which I will give a hard pass, so I’m hoping to have a little free time to myself this week. I have a dresser I need to refinish for my daughter, some painting to get done, and I will at least have short a vacation from momming, I know wild and crazy, my kind of spring break. How about you, anything fun in the works? Let me live vicariously…

And now back by popular demand, and by demand I mean my sister said “please bring back It’s Friday High Five,” it’s time for this week’s high five.

  1. Something inside of me has always wanted to do a travel trailer renovation, the travel trailering not so much but the interiors, oh yah. So when I see the amazing work Aniko from Place of My Taste is doing on her 2017 Forest River Vibe travel trailer name Lola I am so jealous. I bet she is going to be somewhere fun for spring break.
  2. This was a little April Fools video I saw yesterday that as a Dachshund owner I found hysterical. Australian police unveiled a new fighting force to enhance the protection of average citizens and neighborhoods alike: the Small Area Urban Searching And Guided Evacuation Dogs unit, or “SAUSAGE Dogs.”
  3. While we are talking about sitting out in the yard, check out these Draped Hypertufa Planters such one of a kind works of art and such a unique planter for the yard
  4. When I painted my front door a while back my door knocker looked terrible, so tarnished and weathered I thought for sure I’d have to replace it. In the end, I ended up being able to salvage it with a little elbow grease but that didn’t mean I didn’t shop for possible replacements. During that shop, I ran across this bee-utiful Bumblebee Door Knocker that I might just one day buy because I want it, not because I need it.
  5. My grandmother taught me to embroider when I was you but I was never quite sure where the modern teenage me was going to use that skill. When I run across artists like Kerakova Embroidery who embroider garments with bold flowers, turning ordinary hats and t-shirts into something spectacular I know that beautiful embroidery is hip at any age.
