New Year New Room Staircase Reveal

Week 5

The New Year New Room Staircase Reveal is finally here! All month I have been working on this New Year New Room Challenge hosted by Stephanie at Casa Watkins Living. The challenge was to refresh a room/space to kick off the New Year. I’ve worked on this staircase all month, revealing my progress every week. Now the work is done and it’s time to see the results. For the last five weeks, I have been working on the staircase up my guest room. This space has been a sad dull corner of my otherwise colorful home but no more. It has finally been transformed into the vibrant colorful entry I always wanted it to be.

It started with a new job in Valspar Mosaic Pink followed by a tropical wall mural inspired by my Spoonflower Banna Palm life wallpaper I used upstairs.

To add to the interest and coziness to the stairs I installed a green Animal Print Stair Runner.

And to finish it off a last-minute Inspired by a DIY chandelier in the Stray Dog Designs mache style. (More on this next week.)

This little guy got a coat of glossy Ace Premium Gloss Plum Spray Paint which perfectly matches the purple in the mural.
