It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a high five so I thought I better pop in and share some favorites. I mean to do these every other Friday but sometimes time gets away from me. Today I am headed to New Orleans so I am hoping to let time get away from me for at least a week! I’ve been hitting it hard on my One Room Challenge projects and I’d like to say I’m taking a week off from it but I will actually picking up my lighting in person from Sazerac Stitches and hopefully scoring some art for my gallery wall. New Orleans is full of art and color so that part shouldn’t be too hard. I’m getting on the road in just a few so I better keep this short and sweet.
So let’s get to my High Five…
- One to follow, I am having a hard crush on Natalie Papeir of Home Ec.’s colorful art filled interiors. If you haven’t already check out her blog and follow her on IG for some bold design juice!
- Check out this colorful mini-town built on a bridge in SW China’s Chongqing. I have so may questions likw why and how and when can I visit?
- Overstock .com is having a huge Memorial Day sale so I finally bit the bullet on a new nuLOOM Boho Tribal Arrowheads Area Rug for the living room. I even had a rewards credit so this 5×8 wool rug cost me less than $100.
- I just love Furbish Studios, taking our favorite memes of the year and adding them to traditional needlepoint pillows. I’ve had one for years and it’s time for a replacement, the problem is I just can’t decide which one I want.
- Kevin Kwan’s new book Sex and Vanity came out this week, the latest book in the Crazy Rich Asians series. I’m excited about a great summer read but I’m even more excited that a very talented high school friend of mine Autumn Whitehurst, designed the cover. I got my copy in the mail yesterday, hot off the presses!
Wish me safe travels and have a great weekend,
