This Post Sponsored by Tempaper but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I didn’t have a lot of notice on the move to my new Home Solutions of Sumter office after my Lowe’s layoffs. We had to move fast so I didn’t have a whole lot of time for planning but after a lot of hard work the new space is finally up and running. Just a few weeks ago I shared the new office space build out and the grand plan for the space, well today it’s finally time for the big reveal.
Remember the progress and the plan which was based around blush pink and navy with gold accents? My big idea, for this rather small space, was to make a big impact with a few strategically placed wallpaper accent walls.
Thanks to the generosity of my good friends at Tempaper and the perfect match of their Pop Wave by The Novogratz pattern paper this idea came off without a hitch.
I started with the wall in the entry which I knew would be a bold first impression set off my vintage gold mirror
and a Gonnard 6-Light Globe Chandelier.
With the wallpaper colors in mind I bought a vintage oriental rug from a consignment shop and repainted an old favorite.
I even decided to add a little wallpaper to the boring steel entry door.
For the office area I moved over my office furniture from home along with a mid century credenza from a local antique shop and a few accent pieces. Here another Pop Wave by The Novogratz accent wall pulls the eye in.
For the customer seating area my original plan was to reupholster the chairs from the house but when the Rackers hand knotted area rug arrived the existing seat color was a perfect match so I added a couple of peacock pillows for a finishing touch.
For my office wall I painted a Kelly Reemsten inspired painting. I love, love, love Kelly’s work but wasn’t able to get ahold of a print so I decided to try my hand at painting my own. It’s not nearly as amazing as an original Kelly Reemsten but the image so closely ties to what I do, I just couldn’t get the idea of her out of my head. (Her name is Roxy by the way.)
To pull the eye all the way in I did one last Pop Wave by The Novogratz accent wall on the far wall with a bar cart as an accent table to allow for airflow from the return air vent and topped it off with white accessories and one of my favorite floral paint by numbers.
I still have a few more adjustments to make, as I always do. But for now I’d say the new office is complete and ready for clients. Stop by and see us!
And stop by Tempaper for your own wallpaper accents.
