4 Week Bathroom Refresh – Week 3

It’s week three of my Bathroom Primp and Pamper,hosted by Jewel at Jeweled Interiors, and things are finally looking up! With all the ugly stripped away I’m ready to start the pretty stuff. Thank God, because I was feeling a little depressed there for a moment while scrubbing wallpaper glue. Maybe it was just the glue but either way I’m ready to get this project on the upswing!

If you came over from Heather’s at Southern State of Mind, I’m sure she is on the upswing this week too, so I’ll try to keep up.

The goals for this week were…

• • Hang wallpaper
  • Hang lights
  • Paint vanity
  • Install new vanity hardware

I started with paint which I’m proud to say cost me $0 since everything I used was leftover from another room in the house, for the walls Valspar City Steam that I used in the sun room. I even ran across some extra Sherwin-Williams Tradewind from the kitchen and dining room that I decided to use on the ceiling since you know all white is NOT for me.

For the all behind the vanity I used a Stripped Hexagon Peel and Stick Wallpaper. I thought about doing a tile here but since the vanity makeover is going to be a make do and I may want to go with something different later down the line I thought peel and stick was a better temporary solution. Plus the one I chose kind of has the look of tile.

With the wallpaper up I could then move to lighting with some great two tone lights that tie in the existing gold fixtures in a more modern.

This shot will give you a little sneak peak of the new mirrors (that have a little secret) and me in my fancy painting clothes.

and while we are talking painting clothes I might as well do some painting.

I won’t spoil next week’s reveal but you can see the new navy blue paint on my vanity,

along with the new hardware. Now that’s all I’m going to share for now but next week you’ll get the full look.
