It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here especially since today I’m sharing my home as part of the Winter Eclectic Home Tour hosted by Jess from Domicile 37! If you’re here visiting from Casa Watkins Living then welcome to my blog! There are going to be some great home tours this week and lots of inspiration so make sure after you’re done here to check out Jessica from House Homemade who is next on the tour.
You may remember last year’s decor was mostly gold and white. This year I have a bigger tree and a bold color on the mantle so I decided to change it up a bit. It just so happened that my peacock tree topper was the perfect launching point for the new look.
I brought in all my gold and white ornaments from last year along with my peacock ornaments from years before, minus the purple. Since the mantle color was now my focal point I amped up the aqua instead with a few new ornaments and of course some of my West German and Italian pottery.
I also added some inexpensive gilded foliage by spray painting magnolia leaves to mix in with the pine boughs.
after adding in some lights and ornaments for sparkle the mantle was looking quite regal.
I also love to add a little flair to the coffee table that ties in with the tree and since it’s all on my tray it’s easy to move out-of-the-way when I need to switch it out for the hot chocolate tray.
I think we might be ready for Santa! How about you?
Are you all decorated for Christmas or still looking for inspiration?
If it’s inspiration you need, be sure to stop by and see the rest of these amazing tours throughout the week and see what you can find.

i absolutely love your tree and mantle this year! it’s so elegant and beautiful… and the colors!
The mantle makes it, so glad I took the risk!
Maggie it’s gorgeous! Love how glam it is.
Thanks Jessica, Peacocks love that glam you know. 😛
You take color to a whole other level! This is gorgeous!!!! One year, I did a peacock inspired Christmas and used turquoise, dark purple, and copper colors and I loved it. This is stunning and all that lighting makes it look cozy.
Maggie,
I am pretty obsessed with your peacock tree. Totally digging all of the blues in your holiday decor.
Much Love,
Erica
I love that there is a peacock on top of your tree! Holy moly! The blue accents your gold and white decor from last year so well! Beautifully done, as always
Gorgeous!!! You know I came in with my pinning button ready! 😀 I can’t stop! You did such a stunning job!!!
Absolutely beautiful Maggie! I love the blue themes and your mantel is spectacular.
The peacock topper is perfect with the painted mantel–they look beautiful together. Smart thinking with the tray of decor–it’s like a portable party that you can place wherever you need a little festivity. I always enjoy seeing your home and especially enjoyed seeing how it looks for the holidays!
Wow! I love your home. The blue fireplace is amazing.
So beautiful! I love the simple colour combo, it’s just so stunning and yes definitely regal but also so lived it! I love it all x
I agree. That peacock tree topper just happens to be the absolute best tree topper I have ever seen. Amazing living room! The color scheme is 100%!
Your tree is just perfect and I love all the pottery mixed in. You have such a great mix going on. Merry Christmas
The peacock theme is to DIE for! You did such a fabulous job decorating the new place – so festive and glitzy! Also – how do you already have so many presents wrapped under the tree?!? You are on top of it!
Thanks Cate, When you have kids you have to start early. I also have a few that need to get mailed out so they don’t really count.
Hi Maggie!!! Oh how I love your mantel, that gold trim makes my heart go pitter patter! and seriously your gifts looks amazing with the contrasting ribbon, such a beautiful winter tour!
Love the color scheme! Plays off your mantel color beautifully. Peacocks are actually common in our area. 🙂
Gosh that’s a gorgeous tree! Enjoying all of your holiday accents and that warm glow is beautiful!
STUNNING Maggie! That wall of art is amazing. Also, your blue fireplace was MADE for Christmas decor. I love what you’ve done!
As always Maggie, you do such a great job putting things together! I love how you styled the mantle! And, I’m so envious of your pottery and the brass deer on the coffee.
So inspired by your peacock tree and gorgeously styled mantle…so incredibly beautiful! That blue is seriously stunning!
Thank You, I’ve had him for years!
