I don’t mean to hurry you along guys but it’s November 1st and that means winter is right around the corner. That also means it’s time to change out all that fall decor so today I have a ton of inspiration for you a with winter wreath blog hop hosted by Ariel from PMQ for Two and a whole crew my eclectic blogger friends. Since we are an eclectic bunch that means we also have a little bit different take on the holiday wreath. I mean who says a wreath has to be round? Not me! So when I ran across this Umbra Pendant Scarf Organizer in brass (affiliate link) I was inspired to do something a little different.
With the Umbra Pendant as my base, I gathered several types of twine and yarn in different weights and different shades of white,
along with a pine branch and a few sparkling accents I grabbed at the craft store.
I started by looping long lengths of the different yarns and twines around one of the lower section of the scarf hanger.
continuing until the entire section was full, alternating between types of yarn in a random pattern.
I chose to fill two sections, one high and one low.
Once complete I gave the yarn a haircut. I cut mine at an angle to match the angles on the scarf hanger but feel free to do whatever you like.
Up next, add the bling!
Using floral wire I attached my pine branches and accents off to one side, layering them until I liked the look.
I finished it off with a pom pom to cover the heavy part of the pine branch and some of the floral wire.
Now I’m ready for the holiday season to come with my bohemian holiday wreath.
