Hello my friends, are you ready for another round of #ThriftScoreThursday ? I have scored some cuties this week so I am super excited that Thursday is here and I can share them with all my thrifting peeps.
My first find was this little faux bamboo nightstand that I actually got from a friend. This cutie was actually a thrift score her husband found that never made it out of a guest room closet so she asked me if I wanted it. Hell yeah, anything bamboo is a keeper to me.
It was a little rough when I got it but a knew a fun coat of paint would bring her back to life. Inspired by my typewriter painting I did for my daughter’s room, I chose Valspar spray paint (or you could have it mixed) in Passion Pink and I love it.
The other thrift score I wanted to share with you today is this pair of white porcelain giraffes that go perfectly with this piece.
I got this pretty pair at an estate sale for $7 and I knew they had to come home with me. They look so happy here!
And together they make an amazing scene don’t you think?
Now let’s have a closer look at what you found…
But first for the newcomers let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and true treasures.
You can share your finds any day of the week but features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week-long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Brynne from The Gathered Home, myself and occasionally a guest-host will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature on our blogs! Please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
My Favorites:
susiebrown called this one”experiments in secondhand”asking us to see how many thrifted/craigslisted things we can count in this picture. I’m pretty sure it would be easier to count the things NOT thrifted, because this amazing room is filled with one of a kind treasures. Hello, and a blue velvet sofa!
As long as we are talking faux bamboo can we take a look curatedcayman ‘s thrifted headboard? You know how I feel about a bamboo headboard!
erin_coleen is always spotting the good stuff and if she’s not buying it for herself she is sure to share where we can find it. Hope someone snatched this one up at the Goodwill on O St.
possumhollowdesigns found this gem at an estate sale for $40! The finish was in rough shape, but fixable, glad this guy got saved by someone who could see its potential!
As always, you guys are a killing it at the thrift stores!
Now don’t forget to stop by and check out all my co-hosts to see what they’ve been up and their favorite #ThriftScoreThursday finds.

Bamboo for days! I’m such a sucker for it but the headboard is a dead ringer for some very expensive ones I looked before buying my own thrifted headboard.

Such a score! And love the pink you picked!

Me too, it is a Valspar spray paint from Lowe’s but I’m not sure of the exact color. I’ll have to go look and add it in.

oh, I love the little nightstand with the giraffes–so perfect!

Thanks Gretchen, I always love pink and who doesn’t love giraffes?

That nightstand turned out so great and that coral color is really speaking to me right now! And those giraffes! I’m in love with the fact that they’re not brass (who ever thought I would say that?!) – the white porcelain is just perfect!

Thanks Brynne, I need to get the paint color on here but I threw the can away. I know it’s Valspar spray paint from Lowe’s but I’m not sure of the exact color. I do love the giraffes though. they were 25% off that day and would go 50% off the next day but I didn’t want to risk someone else getting them.

I love this post! Why? Because of that dresser. Holy smokes is it ever perfect! It’ll transition well. Great job 🙂
