Hello my friends, are you fired up for #ThriftScoreThursday? I always am and as usual, I have thriftd my little heart out so I can share with you all my bargain goodies. This week we also have a guest host, Linda from The Home I Create, so be sure to stop by and say “Hi.” My share for this week are some blue and white goodies I scored and some cute brass but what I really love is my little porcelain lambs head.
Often I find little things like this that don’t have any rhyme or reason but I buy them just because I like them. This guy apparently has wide appeal because I took him to the store earlier this week and he sold right away! I guess I’m not the only one who thought he was a cutie.
Now let’s have a closer look at what you found…
But first for the new comers let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and true treasures.
You can share your finds any day of the week but features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week-long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Brynne from The Gathered Home, myself and this week’s guest host Linda from The Home I Create will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature on our blogs! Please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
My Favorites:
First the thrifting superstar ericareitman Scored this great piece of student art for her cousin. But like all great thrift scores it has a story The both saw this are at @rosebowl_fleamarket on the same day but not at the same time .Both I fell in love, both shared on social media, and both passed because of the price. FLASH FORWARD TO THIS LAST ROSE BOWL. The same collage! The one that got away! Erica bought it right away and gifted it to her cousin to hang in her art studio. I love a happy ending!
I love any kind of needle work and this one is no exception. This sweet little pillow detours.llc found is all hand embroidered and i just love the colors!
jenc184 (another thrifting goddess) Found a set of 5 vintage frosted lowball glasses with measurement details and a gorgeous matte copper detail. I cannot tell you how useful these glasses would have been to me in Germany. I think I would have carried that 5th one around in my purse to save me from the conversion calculator and it doesn’t hurt that they are super cute.
Are you guys going to be upset that I chose two pieces of needlework for #thriftscorethursday? Because this one from modbeachhouse is everything I love…It is needlework, it has ans Asian flare, and it kind of reminds me of a paint by number…My three favorite things. What a super score!
So good everyone! I just love seeing what everyone found.

Well if you do decide to sell it looks like he may be a hot commodity. When I saw my little lamb at the thrift store I wasn’t sure anyone else would love him but I thought he was great. Guess someone else loved him too.
Jessica
Love those picks! Have a good day!

Maggie,
Do you have a store we can visit?
Maggie Overby
I do! I’m in the Ivy House Antique Mall- 10511 Two Notch Rd in Columbia, SC (I think the actual address is considered Elgin but it is just outside the city limit of Columbia at Clemson Rd.) I used to sell online but I am not currently.
Angie
Great! Glad I know. Next time I’m headed through Columbia I’ll stop by. I’m in Greenville, so not too far away.
Linda
Maggie, I love your finds, I can’t resist blue and white pieces they are like my thrifting Kryptonite 🙂
I also love your features,I was so close to choosing that amazing piece of art and the needle point pillow! I did not see those other two beauties though!

Aww! What a darling little lamb! You should have seen my face when I read this line, “Often I find little things like this that don’t have any rhyme or reason but I buy them just because I like them.”
Because girl, we must be on the same mental wavelength – I said almost the same thing about my finds today!! 😀 This is why I love you!
I had my eyes on all those features as well – so good!

I love how coordinated your scores are! They’re so pretty and make a stunning vignette together.
