Friday is here and while it doesn’t always hold a lot of weight when the kids are home from school and everyone is sleeping in everyday but this Friday marks the start of my “staycation.” For the next two weeks I’ll be taking a little blog break, which I haven’t done in quite a while. I’ll be back on the 14th just in time for #thriftscorethursday but until then I’ll be working on a few projects around the house and hosting my daughter best friend who will be in town from Germany. Basically I just plan to do whatever I want to do, no deadlines, high-five to that! I’ll be sure to check in now in then on Instagram so you don’t miss me too much but other wise I’m hoping my absence will make your heart grow fonder.Hope you have some great plans for while I’m gone.

2. As long as we are talking blue how about a summer blueberry recipe. I ran across this one for a lemon blueberry loaf yesterday and am testing it out this afternoon for a get together we are attending on Saturday. It sounds pretty yummy, I’ll let you know…
3. Last month I place my first order from eshakti and I’m so impressed. This is a clothing site that will make clothes customized to your design and all your measurements (or not.) I have a terrible time with fitted dresses because I am long-waisted and the waist always hits too high which means the hips also hit too high and I definitely need the hips if you know what I mean. With eshakti I can give them all my measurements and they can make the dress exactly to your specifications including changing sleeve style, neckline, hem length you name it. What an amazing idea! For flare skirt dresses I can usually fit a standard as is, well you can buy that too. Best part most everything on their site is under $1oo (a flat $9.95 customization fee will be applied per garment) and you can get $30 off your first order! I ordered the dress below and love it, now I just have to decide what to order next…
4. Are you heading to the beach any time soon? I’m in love with these round beach throws but I’m thinking they would be pretty great in the house too.
5. If you’re looking for a low stress beach read to go with your throw American Housewife Stories is what I’m reading now. “A sharp, funny, delightfully unhinged collection of stories set in the dark world of domesticity.” I agree!
