Hello guys, It’s #ThriftScoreThursday again and today I want to share with you my very manly thrift find. Literally it’s a man! Actually it’s Casey at the Bat a 1980’s limited edition Avon mug that came with Avon’s Weekend after shave. I found him at the Goodwill for $3 (well actually it was one of those weird Goodwill prices like $2.92.) There was just something about him that caught my eye.
Maybe the fact that he is made of milk glass and is quite handsome.
or possibly his amazing mustache which kind of reminds me of Tom Selleck circa. Magnum P.I (My Mom always thought he was a fox!)
or the “M” for Mudville on his hat that also happens to work for Maggie too.
Whatever the reason I had to bring him home and right now he’s making flowers manly but he’s so dashing I may have to have him join me for my morning coffee!
Now let’s have a closer look at what you guys found …
But first for the new comers let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and true treasures.
You can share your finds any day of the week but features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week-long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Brynne from The Gathered Home, myself and occasionally a co-host will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature on our blogs! Please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
My Favorites:
This mid-century Robert Shaw Controls Co Lux Starburst/Sunburst wall clock that eveislestudios scored for $5 is super cool and even keeps great time.
thisvintagegrove has unicorns on her mantel. I mean unicorns, need a say more.
tracyschicvintage found this condiment holder (at least that’s what the lady at the garage sale said it was) which reminds me of my find last week. But I’m thinking what Tracy is thinking, perfect for drinks!
jenc184 always bring home the good scores! Check out her bamboo silver ware, not a complete set, but still beautiful!
Now don’t forget to stop by and check out all my co-hosts to see what they’ve been up and their favorite #ThriftScoreThursday finds.

Oh Unicorns are so enchanting…I actually found a pair of unicorn book ends last week I haven’t shared on the feed yet. I thinks they are most defiantly a thrifting charm. Find a Unicorn, find the good stuff!
Danavee
Thanks so much for featuring my unicorns!!!!!!!!!! The mister doesn’t think they are quite as magical! Ha!
I also love that clock you featured! FIVE DOLLARS!?!?!

Danave,e Your mister obliviously doesn’t know the magical powers of the unicorn, other wise he’d show them a bit more respect 😉
Corinna - ADesignerAtHome
The mister is crazy! Give the unicorns some time. They’ll work their magic on him 😉

Ahhh, what a fun find! Just the perfect amount of quirk and style combined – and of course such a manly find needed to be filled with beautiful flowers! Love it!
