This was my kid’s last full week of school, yesterday was the last full day of school. If you are a Mom you know that means more activities than you can keep track of, parties, awards ceremonies, field day, and things you volunteered for at the first of the year that you have absolutely no recollection of. The high-five, it will all be over in five days. The not so high-five, it will all be over in five days. That means 24/7 you get to see those sweet little smiling faces in your house, only after 48 hours they are not sweet or smiling, they are hungry and bored and they want you to do something about it. Fortunately, we have some travels planned, camps, and cousins to visit so with some luck we will all make it through the summer intact. High-five to that!
Here are a few more high-fives for the week…
1.I pinned the photo above of Erica Reitman‘s L.A. apartment tour on My Domaine months ago and every time I see it I smile. Bold and moody I thought today it might make you smile too, have a look.
2. If you don’t mind that I ruin TV coffee drinking for you forever check out this fun video on “The Empty Cup.” #EmptyCupAwards
3. Check out how amazing the scientific collections are at the National Museum of Natural History, what I wouldn’t give for just a few of these specimens.
4. Architecture is art and in 1972 SITE Architects was commissioned by BEST Products Company to design a series of nine ‘big box’ shopping centers that were true works of art. You won’t find storefronts like these at Walmart.
5. Would you buy the moon? What about Luna an amazing lamp inspired by the moon?
Have a great weekend everyone!
