Happy #ThriftScoreThursday my friends. I admit the last few weeks the thrifting game has been a little slow. Fortunately, yesterday’s haul more than made up for it. With $40 in my pocket I hit my local thrift stores and came back with a whole car load of goodies.
Have a look at this cute little faux bamboo table. The top is Formica but for some reason I don’t mind it on this piece because it makes it perfect for out on my screen porch.
I found also bunch of pretty pastel items including a U.S.A. McCoy style planter and a plate I actually bought at my children’s school. They had an evening Art Walk and some of the older kid’s had ceramics for sale. This $4 beauty is a one of a kind, “SAS” whoever you are, I love it!
I scored a lucky brass pocket change dish (all the cool kids have them) and a few item that are usually pretty hard to find for cheap, a globe and my Asian inspired paint by number.
I love the colors in these particular paint by numbers because they have a real 50’s flare about them. Here is the rest of my Asian collection I have thrifted over the years. Now you know why I was so excited to find this one.
Plus a few other goodies that seem to work perfectly with today’s theme…
Now let’s have a closer look at what you guys found …
But first for the new comers let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and true treasures.
You can share your finds any day of the week but features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week-long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Brynne from The Gathered Home, myself and occasionally a guest co-host will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature on our blogs! Please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
My Favorite Finds:
In the spirit of my faux bamboo find, how good would Thriftcandy’s rattan chair for $14 look hanging out next to it? All it needs is a cushion!
‘ Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!’ Doug_Fritock found this great abstract by guess who? Marsha!
I totally agree with thewhitebuffalostylingco on the fact that every room needs some antlers, but I think they are twice as nice with a little tassel action involved.
and homeologymodernvintage’s newest favorite find might be one of mine too. This teak wall divider she scored for just $7 is perfect!
Well done everyone, more scores I’d loved to have taken home!
Now don’t forget to stop by and check out all my co-hosts to see what they’ve been up and their favorite #ThriftScoreThursday finds.
Would you like to be a guest host? If re you an avid blogger + Instagrammer who also loves thrifty finds? We’d love to have you join us for a week of Thrift Score Thursday! If you’re interested, you can apply right here!

Oh I love those paint by numbers. I have some in my daughter’s room but the colors aren’t as pretty as those

I’ve seen yours, I think I may have that one? I have quite a collection ( even a few I bought in Germany) but the Asian one’s are by far my favorites because of the colors.
Kristen
Love your little table! And that formica top will be great on a porch!

Thanks Kristen!

Those paint-by-numbers!!! I can’t find one to save my life, and you have a whole collection – in a theme, no less. I’m feeling a little jelly right now. Thanks so much for featuring my room divider!

They are hard to find Sarah. I think people have caught on to how desirable they are so you rarely find them on the cheap anymore so when I do I’m super excited!
Carol @ CAD INTERIORS
Wow, love your thrift finds! The art and that table are awesome. Love the rattan chair and the teak wall divider too!

Thanks Carol, The thrift store is definitely my friend. Sometimes too good a friend, ha ha we may be codependent.
