It’s #ThriftScoreThursday and today I thought I’d something a little different. Not to long ago when posting some of my weekly favorites Cassie from Primitive and Proper commented that they would work well in a room together. That one comment got me thinking why not design a room entirely from the thrift scores you guys have shared. My entire house is pretty much a thrift score so why not a house of your finds? So this week decided to do just that. The mood board above is created entirely from objects you guys shared on the #ThriftScoreThursday Istagram feed. I’d say we created a pretty amazing space.
Now let’s have a closer look at all these beauties and see just who found them all…
But first for the new comers let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and true treasures.
You can share your finds any day of the week but features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week-long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Brynne from The Gathered Home, myself and occasionally a guest co-host will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature on our blogs! Please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
My favorite finds that went into the mood board:
I started with my very own maggieoverbystudios thrift score, a pair of super cool globe pendants I scored for just $35
and I can always count on thebeauideal to find the good stuff like this shelf and lamps he found on his way home from work.
curatedcayman added a rattan daybed to the mix.
and jenc184 my #moschairjunkie soul sister brought on these pink velvet cuties.
midmodinspirations scored this original painting at Salvation Army that perfectly match our pink chairs.
and I can always count on lunemkt for a few great accessories like these guys.
For the floor our rug addict, diyconfessions brings this perfect addition
for a place to set our drinks pursuingvintage found this brass beauty
and jenc184 ‘s vintage metal giraffe makes a great accessory in any space.
finally theeventmaker rounded out the bunch with this gold leaf crane print in a brass frame.
Well done everyone, we made a great space!
Now don’t forget to stop by and check out all my co-hosts to see what they’ve been up and their favorite #ThriftScoreThursday finds.
Would you like to be a guest host? If re you an avid blogger + Instagrammer who also loves thrifty finds? We’d love to have you join us for a week of Thrift Score Thursday! If you’re interested, you can apply right here!

Not a blogger … just a mere mortal. LOVE the mood board idea. Look forward to TST every week, and the mood board really elevated this week’s haul. Great idea!
Glad to have you either way! We’ll keep sharing if you keep coming.
Such a fun idea for a mood board! Also, I want a brass bunny!
I actually have a pair myself, they are cuties!
Seriously drooling over all these amazing finds!!! The mood is such a cute idea, its amazing how good it all looks together! Also, if I could find a pink velvet chair like the ones pictured I would be over the moon!
Me too Linda, aren’t they amazing!
What an awesome, super fun idea Maggie!!! Thrift Score Thursday is definitely going to need some more mood boards in the mix – you’re a genius!
Maybe they’ll become a regular on slow shopping weeks. Can we recommend everyone shoot their photos on a white background? ha ha ?
You are so talented! I have got to learn how to do this. So fun!
Maybe I should start a class. My sister asks me how to do it all the time.
The moodboard is a great idea, seeing the finds in a “fantasy” setting makes them even better 😀
Thanks Alex, I’m sure some people see things at the thrift store and miss the potential or wonder what would I do with that? This is a little peek of what I see when I’m at the thrift store 😉
Pink velvet!!!! WOW what a find
Aren’t they great! Actually Julia this whole set up would go perfectly in your house. I even see a piece or two that look familiar…
So many amazing finds (your globes… HELLO??!!! FABULOUS!). Thanks for sharing my brass chest! Still trying to decide if I have a place for it! Love how you put everything together!
That’s always the problem, so many goodies out there not enough room in my house to put them.
I know I am late to comment on this post, (i got a little behind on my email reading) but i wanted to say how MUCH i love this idea of creating a mood board and i cant believe you made an entire room!! GREAT STUFF here! Love the art, and the accessories!! Nice!
Thanks, My entire house is a thrift store mood board 😛 so I figured why not here. I think maybe it need to be a regular feature.
