Does the year seem like it’s speeding by? I simply can’t believe it’s just one month (or 19 school days as my son reminds me) until summer vacation. I’m not sure if that is a high-five or not. I am looking forward to not having to get everyone up and off to school everyday but sometimes keeping everyone entertained all summer can be just as hard. Plus this year will be even tougher since my husband just left for a six month deployment and I won’t have any back up. Fortunately we have a few trips planned and lots of family to visit and I have a whole list of projects I want to complete. That means summer will probably speed by just a quickly as the first part of this year and so will this deployment. High-five to that!
Here are a few more high-fives for the week.
1.Domino recently featured the photo above in a tour of LA based interior designer Francis Merrill’s West Coast home which is eclectic, colorful and totally beautiful. If you want to see even more spaces like these you can also check out her portfolio at Reath Design.
2. Check out this video of the Microsculpture insect photography of Levon Biss, the results are beautiful even if you are not a fan of bugs.
3.These very literal bookends from Dot and Bo are the cutest thing ever and it doesn’t hurt that they double as a planter.
4.Corrie Beth a multimedia-DIYer at Apple of My DIY makes intricate paper plants like this Peruvian Maidenhair Fern that are simply amazing. If you love this as much as I do consider following her on Instagram as well.
5.Claire Armstrong blogger at Pillar Box Blue shared how to make a large-scale paint by number of your pet (or anything else) that I just adore. I so want to try this!
Have a great weekend,

Love your tutorial Claire. Not sure how it will work on my Bluetick Coonhound but my white and tan Beagle would be cute as your Jack Russell.
