Has it been six weeks already? Six weeks means it’s final reveal time for my Studio/Sewing room. I hope you guys are as excited to see the results as I am to share them with you. I’ve been a little absent this week getting everything finished up but I think it was time well spent since I am loving the results.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about let me get you up to date. For the last five weeks I have been participating in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda of Calling It Home. Twice a year designers and bloggers are challenged to transform one spaces in just six short weeks. Today everyone will be sharing their final reveals that means 20 featured designers and over 150 linking participants (that’s me) will be sharing one room they have totally transformed.
Are you ready so see what I’ve done? I will let the photos do most of the talking since you have all followed along in the process but I will remind you that for this room I was looking for a colorful, inspiring place to create.
Let’s remember what this room looked like before… Not very inspiring.
But with lots of colorful additions, vintage finds, and collected art, this room now has me ready to create something amazing.
I think this is your first real look at the area that will help this serve as a guest room when neede. The Ikea FREHITEN sofa pulls out into a bed and with the addition of a pair of lamps and an alarm clock to help make guests feel at home this is a space that will easily transform into a comfortable place to sleep. (You can learn more about the sofa here, and the amazing Comfort Works slipcover here (affliate link.))
This fabric samples art is fun and functional.
and of course I had to include lots of storage and display for my West German Pottery collection.
and don’t forget the boring stairwell…
It got a little pizzazz too.
This two story wall is the perfect home for my collection of giant sign letters. I love seeing this fun collection every time I enter the space.
Six weeks well spent. I am glad that it is over but I am so please with the results in this room. It has turned out to be a happy space that makes me smile every time I walk in.
What do you think? Was this One Room Challenge a success? I’d say for my first time participating it was a total success!
If you want to refresh you memory on the progress from the beginning have a look at Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4 and Week 5
Don’t forget to check out the final reveals of the featured designers and linking participants, amazing things have happened these last six weeks!

I am in love with the letters on the wall. I wish I had thought of that when the kids were young. Fantastic job, and I think I would live in this space all winter long. Great job.
