Oh my goodness, its week five already and although I’ve accomplished a lot, I still have a tons to do before next week’s final reveal. If you have been following along the last four weeks you know I’m participating in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda of Calling It Home. Twice a year designers and bloggers are challenged to transform one spaces in just six short weeks. The full reveal will be November 12th with 20 featured designers and over 150 linking participants (that’s me) sharing one room they have totally transformed. This is week five of the challenge and since next week is the big reveal I don’t want to give too much away, but I will tell you what I’ve been up to this week.
On Tuesday I picked up my Dash and Albert Field of Flowers rug from the cleaners which means for the first time I got a chance to look at it with fabrics and make a final decision on which ones to use. Here are the winners…
Here you can see how ell the rug works with a few pillows I have finished, some metal storage boxes from Homegoods, and a vintage crochet pillow I found at Goodwill. I love the way everything is working together now that the rug is down.
I have also been working on additional storage for all the little things like notions and art supplies. I purchased paper mâché boxes from Micheal’s which I plan on adding some color to using different techniques.
Here are a few I have finished. On these I used spray paint and decoupaged fabric to create a mix and match set.
These boxes will be stored on the built-ins and under the end tables for easy access.
While we are talking end table, I had a little change of plans for my lamps. The lamps above were originally going to be revamped to revamp but I ran across a pair of brass and marble lamps at Goodwill for only $7, and decided I couldn’t pass them up. Plus, I think they will work perfectly in the new space.
My, My, Time is really flying with only one week left to the reveal so I better to get back to work. Mostly sewing and organization and lots of photography left. I have a roman shades to make, pillows to sew and lots of organization before I can take all those pretty photos for the big reveal.
Wish me luck in the home stretch!

I love all of the colors and patterns! I am doing the one room challenge as well and purchased those same metal bins from Homegoods. I chose different colors but they are the same ones. I love them! I am so excited to see this room come together next week!

Aren’t they great bins? I checked out your post, we actually did buy the same color bins. The aqua one was actually navy but I spray painted it. I didn’t see any white at our store though. Thanks for stopping by.
