You may remember Katie’s room from my home tour. When we moved in to our house almost two years ago I brought all new bedding from the States and added a few accent pieces I found here in Germany. When ever we make a move I get new bedding for the bedrooms so that everything will feel fresh and new and the kids can get excited about their new rooms. Lately I have felt inspired by a few products that I think would be great for Katie’s next room, where ever that may be. Since this will be her last room update until she goes off to college (OMG, am I that old?) I wanted it to be a bit more mature.
What has me so excited?
I shared this beautiful vintage photo of Mary Eaton in an earlier post and after ordering a sample of this fabric , I HAVE to find a place to use it. I loved the giant canvas of Mary but at first I could not think of a place I could use her. She looks so cool, I figured what better place to use her than in my teenage daughters room. I immediately thought how well it would work with my new fabric love. The blacks and greys in both will make a perfect pair.
I wanted an update but not a full scale redo so using the same furniture and the rug and quilt I just move out of the master bedroom I came up with a plan. A few new accessories and voila, a whole new look fit for a teenager.
Now all she need is a room…
