Do you ever find yourself trying to find the end of the internet? Clicking away one post leading to another until suddenly you land on something amazing? Well that is exactly what happened to me last week. While killing time I saw a feed on blogger Hello Petal‘s Facebook page that caught my eye. From there I headed over to the cutest blog and website I’ve seen in a while, Petite Vintage Interiors. This blog is put together by two Australian sister-in-laws and dedicated entirely to the design of children’s room. Belinda Kurtz is the brain behind the design work and her sister-in-law Simone Lenneberg is the blog editor, together they have created something amazing.
Who ever said children’s rooms need to be a prefab Disney character explosion? Not Petite Vintage Interiors, their designs are fresh, modern, budget friendly, and are perfect to grow with your child. These designs are great because they incorporate vintage, DIY, modern accents, and lots of fun color. My kind of girls!
In the words of Belinda “I adore vintage furniture and a spot of DIY. I’m not afraid of a sander or a paint sprayer but I also love a few luxuries too…I hope to share with you my tips and tricks to achieve designer looks on a budget and will advise you where best to splurge and where we can save a penny or two. I’ll encourage you to think outside the box but as a mum, I’m aware that children’s rooms need to be practical as well as gorgeous.”
