Fashion for the Home- Polka Dots

In the past I admit to feeling that polka dots were a bit juvenile but recently my mind has changed. Lately I am seeing polka dots used in a sophisticated new way in both home and fashion. From the traditional dot to more modern, eclectic versions like Ikat and metallic, polka dots are everywhere.

If your feeling bold the all over wall treatment seen in the photo above might be for you. This black and white colors scheme with bold green offer a playful sophistication that is sure to catch the eye. Now with decals and stencils available just about everywhere the sky’s the limit!

Looking for something a little less “in your face.” Try smaller dot accent pieces like pillows, bedding or even the polka dot lamp seen below. Adding even just a pop of dots can still be eye-catching.
