I haven’t updated you in while on the “man cave” activities, so here it what is going on. The biggest change is the walls have been re-plastered and should be dry enough for paint on Monday. I am amazed how much the new plaster has improved the space, no more cracks and everything is even. The landlord let me help pick the paint and we decided on a very light butter yellow.
I also got this great desk from the thrift store last week for only 10 euro. I have been working hard getting it ready for use. Don’t gasp but I am actually taking the paint off. I know, I know, so not Maggie, but the paint job was too horrid to go over and when I started to strip it off it appears to be solid mahogany . But it will not be totally paint free, you’ll just have to wait and see.
What else, Oh yes, my thrift store chairs have a new look with a sleek coat of black paint. You’ll see were this is going in the next photo.
Which brings me to the most exciting news! My fabric arrived yesterday and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Well actually, I already have .The first chair cushion is done as you can see below. Isn’t this fabric great! I can’t wait to get them all complete for a big reveal of the finished chairs.
So now I am off to the next hurtle, finding a rug here in Germany or at least finding a company that will ship to an APO. Wish me luck! If you have any suggestions on a good source I am taking recommendations.
