This morning I have been very busy, yes that’s right I have been wrapping Christmas gifts. Now before you get mad at me for being ahead of the game, I have good excuse. We will be heading to the U.S. to spend Christmas with our families so all gifts have to be bought, wrapped, and shipped ahead of time so they will be there for Christmas. This also means Santa Clause will come to our house in Germany before we leave in mid December, so I have to be ready. Hence, wrapping gifts November 6th.
What I wanted to share with you is a really great source for all kinds of wrapping paper and gift wrap supplies, Ikea has just opened a new paper goods section and it is great! I was a little weary when I bought the paper because I can’t stand cheap thin wrapping paper but, it was such a good deal, I figured I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! For about $20 a got two large rolls of good quality paper, 6 rolls of curling ribbon, 20 tags, and 4 rolls of washi tape. I wrapped all morning and haven’t even made a dent in the tape (used only washi) and just opened the second roll of wrapping paper.
I am not a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas wrapping. I like a theme but the colors don’t have to be green and red. I thought this paper was great because it has the green and red but it incorporated other colors that make it usable after Christmas if I have leftover. I am also totally obsessed with the washi tape. I can tape all over the outside and it still looks cool. If you are a traditionalist Ikea has those styles too, and great gift wrap for other occasions as well. With only 48 day until Christmas I figured you might need some gift wrap before long too, so if you are close to an Ikea go check out their selection. Happy Wrapping!
Love me some washi tape! And I am super stoked- hitting IKEA Atlanta on the 15th!
