90’s Bathroom Gets a Spa Update

As most of you know, I went back to work full time in September as a Project Specialist for Interiors at Lowe’s.  I help customers plan and manage their kitchen and bath remodels from start to finish and work Lowe’s provided independent general contractor to complete the job. This week was an exciting moment for me because it marked the completion of my first bathroom remodel project. The client had a nice but dated 5 piece master bath that was full of cultured marble and dated shiny brass fixtures. She said she had been wanting to make changes to the bathroom from the moment she moved into the house and was more than ready to make that happen.

Here’s what we were working with…

And here was the plan.

Design option 2

Using Kohler Devonshire fixtures, granite counter tops, tiles and accessories all available through Lowe’s we turned a dated bathroom into a spa-like oasis fit for 2017.

We salvaged the vanities and floors but everything else was headed for an update.

One of the biggest transformations was the removal of the old fiberglass shower insert and gold trimmed frosted door.

We did that with a Kohler Revel shower door, porcelain tile that mimics vein cut, honed limestone, and a mosaic tile with stainless steel accents.

With the old wallpaper removed we gave the wall a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams Alpaca, my new favorite color,

and a last minute addition of these beautiful Oval Framed French Wall Mirrors.

I couldn’t be more please with the results and neither could my client.

What a great start to a new chapter. I’m looking forward to sharing more of these transformations in the future.
