You may be thinking “Wait, haven’t I already seen a sun room reveal?” Well yes, you have, but recently I did a little rearranging and it all started with a chair. Actually a pair of chairs that were never meant to be inside. When I first got the sun room together I used my outdoor wicker chairs in this room but after a whole year in this house I finally got around to moving them to their rightful place…outside! (More on that later.)
With two big empty spots now in the sun room I was on the hunt for new chairs. I originally wanted something rattan but didn’t fun across anything I loved in my budget. In this case the best place to shop is my own house.
I decided on my green chairs. These chairs started their journey in the Man Cave in our last two houses but only one fit there in this house. It’s pair was tucked in a corner of my sewing room collecting fabric so they are going to get much better use in the sun room.
Of course bringing in a bold color opened a whole can of worms. When I first moved the chairs I figured I would have to recover the cushions to make them work with the orange accents in the room. But another round of shopping my own house turned up the perfect solution.
Out with the orange chest and in with the green. I didn’t paint this chest to go with the fabric in these chairs but they work together perfectly.
Fortunately, the rest of the furniture is pretty neutral so it came down to adding a few throw pillows to tie it all together.
Those I brought from the man cave as well. I’ll probably need to do a little accessorizing in there later (darn)but for now I think it works.
I am pretty pleased with the results of these few trades and I am supper pleased at the price tag.
Harry looks pretty pleased as well…
