Thrift Score Thursday No. 140

It’s that time again, time for my monthly #ThriftScoreThursday post and my favorite finds..including my own. As most of you know before moving to South Carolina we lived in Germany for two years but in all that time and of all the things I bought I never bought a cuckoo clock. Okay I did buy one little tiny one I painted pink but it doesn’t actually cuckoo so when I ran across this one at an estate sale I was tempted.

The first day of the estate sale this guy was priced at $75 which was a little less than this style new in Germany but I still wasn’t ready to jump on it but as estate sales go the longer they go the cheaper the price gets so I waited. I thought it over all weekend and when I went back on Sunday everything had gone to 50% off and the cuckoo was still there, guess it was meant to be!

Plus it works great in the new sun room.

Now let’s see what you guys have been scoring,

But first, let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is in case it’s your fist visit here.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures and how you style them in your home.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs once a month and Instagram weekly on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

The first Thursday of each month, Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Cassie Bustamante and I will pick our favorite thrift scores to feature. So please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

Here are a few of my favorites.

bellafloradesign shared her Succulents and found pottery and you know I love pottery!

This play room seating homesteadproject found is to die for and now she’s looking for a more modern floor lamp for that corner, can’t wait to see what she finds.

Cocollected  found this brass and chrome table on one of my neighbors curb for trash pickup. FREE, what’s better than free, fabulous and free!

Allsurreal shared this colorful gallery wall including a peacock embroidery she’s working on herself. Vintage art, color and needlework, the perfect combination.

thisatticvintage shared a whole collection of vintage furniture and the Queen Anne style coffee table and rug are is available in her my Etsy shop, I think I might need that rug!

Great finds everyone

Now be sure to stop in and see what Brynne and Cassie have been up to.
