Thrift Score Thursday No. 121

Hello #ThriftScoreThursday friends! Today I feel like I have been on vacation. I went to an estate sale where I found a huge collection of collectible state plates. These few were $.50 a piece but they had a set of all 50 state for $30. I have to say I was a little tempted if only I had a place to display 50 plates. Instead, I just bought a few I thought were fun. I particularly like the ones with the colored edges. Have a look at the details…

I think I may love Hawaii the best…and who wouldn’t?

Now let’s have a closer look at what you found…

But first, for the newcomers let me explain just what #ThriftScoreThursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, Craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and true treasures.

You can share your finds any day of the week but features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week-long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from A Designer At Home, Brynne from The Gathered Home, myself and occasionally a guest-host will pick a few favorite thrift scores to feature on our blogs! Please note that by linking up with #ThriftScoreThursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

My Favorites:

As usual, you guys made this hard for me but I did narrow it down to a few…

sadies_lovely_life Stopped in at the thrift store for some smalls but left with this lovely. I have to agree that this would have come home with me too. Just look at those lines.

jenc184 found this colorful set of 6 books, I had to choose these because I found a similar set only not in nearly as good a condition so I passed on them. Now I always wish I had a set…Maybe I’ll get lucky one day soon.

After a bit of a dry spell and thrifting withdrawals  dreaming_of_decor  found this Valley Vista pottery on a lazy Susan and a Robert Wood landscape to add to her gallery wall. Love the colors in both of these!

You guys know my addiction to German Pottery so I’m sure you are not surprised to see kpick89‘s two pretty Rosenthal UtaFeyl vases on my favorites list and I think I might love the rattan piece they are sitting on too!

Great finds everyone!!

Now don’t forget to stop by and check out all my co-hosts to see what they’ve been up and their favorite #ThriftScoreThursday finds.

  1. oh i missed some of these but was so close on featuring those white vases, too! i love the settee! and love your state plates!

  2. I just love vintage state plates! Maybe not enough to buy a set of 50 (although… tempting), but especially the ones with colorful edges with the gold pattern! I do need to find a few more of those!
