As you guys know for the last six week I was deep into the One Room Challenge updating my master bedroom. For those six weeks, other than a quick peek here and there, I didn’t have a whole lot of time to check in to see what the other participants were up. Now that I am finished with my own project and everyone else has revealed theirs, I am enjoying hours of entertainment touring these new spaces.
Today after all my blog browsing I thought I’d share some of my favorite Spring 2016 reveals. There were some amazing transformations but I have to tell you my favorites were spaces that seemed like home, cozy and collected instead of a designer show room. While “designer spaces” are beautiful I find they feel a little flat and un-lived in. My favorites are the spaces that look realistic, collected over time, bring in pattern and color, and have an unexpected dash of whimsy. Oh yes, and this go round I’m really loving wallpaper!
Let’s have a look…
Making it Lovely conquered a bedroom and den makeover, both spaces are lovely but what I can’t get over are the oversized bug graphics she created herself. They may not be for everyone but I think they are great. Talk about unexpected!
Suburban Bitches conquered two rooms as well this rock star dining room,
and an amazing boho master bedroom. I love collected look of each these rooms and that she added something a little unexpected to each. Don’t forget to look up.
Stephanie from Olive and Tate and Amanda Louise Interiors collaborated on Stephanie’s living room which surprisingly also has a pool table. I love the pops of color in this space and the neutral back ground means it could be easily changed out from season to season. If you stop by for a closer look you might also catch a glimpse of some wallpaper I’ve been crushing on!
I guess I must be feeling the green this go round because CAD Interiors did a dining room that was fairly neutral but the few added pops of green really caught my eye. Doesn’t that bit of color make it come alive?
Jest Cafe created a kid’s room that is cool and collected and not at all contrived. Plus, I can’t get over the wallpaper she chose.
Erin Spain created a beautiful master bedroom that would be realistic for any home. She added a few dramatic new pieces but overall used many things that where already in the room. I loved seeing this drastic change that wasn’t an over the top budget buster.
Clair Brody Designs redecorated her parent’s living room and I have to say this was one of the biggest transformations this spring. The before was dated traditional but the after is super hip!
The White Buffalo Styling Co. did a bedroom makeover that just might be my favorite of the season. A basic background with some pretty amazing color and pattern additions makes a perfect combination. That rug is killer!
Amazing what everyone accomplished in just six weeks. Huge thanks to Linda at Calling it Home for putting it all together.
How about you… Do you have any favorites? What details drew you in?
Erin
Thank you so much for including our rooms in your favorites list! You picked some rooms that I need to go check out, as well as some that are my favorite too. Clare Brody’s room- so good, right?!

There are so many Erin, it takes a while to get through them all and even then I’m sure I missed some.
Amanda Louise Interiors
Thank you so so much for the love! I can’t get over how many amazing spaces there are. I am trying narrow down my round up and it is so tough! XO

It’s hard to get through them all. First go round I just picked the ones that caught my eye then I had to go back and be more deliberate.
