It’s Black Friday everybody, who’s going shopping? Well I am but not for the deal of the century, I’m headed out to my favorite Atlanta antique and resale shops for a different kind of retail therapy and hopefully to find some new additions for my retail space. Yesterday I spent Thanksgiving with family and ate way too much, so today I’m planning to walk it off at the biggest antique malls I can find. I love the hunt so I’m looking forward to a day of finding great treasure, a yummy lunch, and hopefully bringing home lots of goodies for the new shop. High-five to that!

Here are a few more high fives I found this week…

friday1.You know when you run across that blog you’ve never visited before and totally fall in love? Well this week I ran across Michael Wurm, Jr.’s Inspired by Charm and his home (photo above) is totally swoon worthy. I am now a regular reader!

2. Ever wonder why the American film stars of the 30’s and 40’s sound sort of British,I just learned about the Trans Atlantic accent. Wow who knew?

3. Bar carts aren’t just for bars, Refinery 29 shares some of Justina Blakeney‘s Boho style including her amazing plant cart.

4. I ran across these Original Toy Planter sold on Esty by PlaidPigeon, how cute would these be for teacher gifts?

5. Los Angeles-based painter Kelly Reemtsen’s newest works focus on well-dressed women toting household tools like mallets and power saws. These paintings are so totally me, wish I could afford to buy one, but for now I’m just hoping Kelly comes out with print versions so I can have one for my studio.

Have a great weekend,

Maggie
