Our rental house in Germany
I love to look at high-end homes in magazines but I sometimes can’t relate to a Hollywood mansion or a New York Penthouse apartment. I don’t have an infinity pool or any sweeping landscapes with views of the ocean, mountains or city. No one will marvel over the architecture or square footage of my home, but that’s okay. What I do have is a little slice of suburbia that is all my own. Actually, I have two slices our rental here in Germany and the home we own back in Alabama. Neither is a mansion but I can see their potential.
Are you in the same (little) boat? Well you’re not the only one. I love to read DIY/Interior Design blogs and I have found most of these photos of magazine worthy interiors are inside some fairly modest homes. Rarely mansions, mostly just fixer uppers with lots of potential. That’s what I love about DIY/Interior Design blogger’s, we make the most of what we have showering it with love, okay and a little sweat and tears as well.
Have a look at some of my favorite bloggers and their jewel box homes. Visit their blogs and they will be happy to give you a fully guided tour…
