Man Cave- New Windows

Yesterday the first step in making the Man Cave livable got underway. The old uninsulated metal windows ( with grates) were removed and new white vinyl insulated ones have taken their place. It is amazing what a difference this one small change has made. Okay so maybe cleaning up the giant mess helped some too, but the amount of light the new windows let in and the crisp white frames really are a big improvement. The installer also added a new marble window ledges which really give them a finished (less basement) look. The area below the ledges still needs to be filled an plastered but overall I am very pleased with the improvement. Next step, HEAT! Not a pretty improvement but now that its getting cold, much needed!

The old windows were metal with grates over them, and it also appears they may have been a bit leaky.
